Product News

3/20/2023

From 24 to 27 January 2023, the annual PGA Merchandise Show took place in Orlando, Florida.
At this event, everyone who has rank and name in the golf industry meets annually. And of course golf simulators are always a hot potato there and the exhibitors are always confronted with a great deal of public interest. Most providers traditionally come from the USA and increasingly from Asia.
Of the European manufacturers, 2 pieces of news can be highlighted.
  1. Golf course software:
Creative Golf 3D has followed the path of "The Golf Club 2019" and "GSPro" and now also offers its customers the opportunity to develop golf courses and golf-based games themselves. The user gets a kit with 3D models (buildings, trees, shrubs, textures, etc.) to create his individual golf courses. Of course, there is support from the software provider. Well-done and interesting golf courses can then be included in the general golf course library of Creative Golf 3D. In the course of a beta test, members and friends of the Golden Eagle Golf Lounge in Herzogenburg have already digitized the "Parkkurs St.Pölten" and tested it extensively and successfully.

  2. Launch Monitors:
The Dutch supplier ProTee United from Amsterdam has said goodbye to its old model with floor sensors and announced three models of ceiling-mounted launch monitors, each equipped with 2 IR cameras, at the PGA fair, which will be delivered to customers later this year. All systems are designed for left- and right-handers. All relevant ball- and club data are measured, as one is used to from other renowned manufacturers. The evaluation takes place digitally and also in a very nice graphical presentation. AI (artificial intelligence) software modules were used for the first time. Thus, the system can adapt to the habits of the individual players. It remains to be seen how this will play out in practice. However, it is a first-time, bold and very interesting approach. As a golf course library, of course, "The Golf Club 2019" is offered. However, other manufacturers may be added and will offer interfaces.
No doubt, it will be an exciting year 2023 for Golf Simulator enthusiasts
