GOLF SIMULATORS - SPATIAL REQUIREMENTS

Dimension:
The ideal measurements to be able to swing the longest golf club (driver) freely

Room width:
For the Golf Simulator box, a width of 450-480 cm is ideal. If you want to have space to pass on the left and right outside of the cabin, then 50-60 cm should be added per side.

Room length:
The normal simulator box is 540 cm long, ideally the projector should be 600 cm away from the screen. If you also want to go behind the cabin, then add 60 cm. If you and your flight partners want to stay in front of the cabin (table, chairs, golf bags), then you should have at least 300 cm (better would be 400 cm) of space. The perfect room length would therefore be 900 to 1.000 cm.

Room height:
This should ideally be at least 300 cm (better would be 320 cm or more). Internal height therefore 290 cm.  Some launch monitors need 290cm as a minimum height.

Ideal would be:
if the aluminum profiles of the box could be screwed to the wall and the beamer could be attached to the ceiling independently of the box.

While a player executes his shot at the tee area, any other players need enough space where they can stay without disturbing the player in action.

Smaller dimensions are feasible, but the playing comfort may suffer!

Structural requirements:
Ideally, the simulator cabin is placed on a floor construction with screed. It can also be mounted on any other  type of floor. Be careful with underfloor heating – holes may be drilled in the ground! Push-down / Pull-up TEEs are inserted  40-50 mm into the floor. Alternatively, there are also tee mats on which you can play with regular tees.

Power connection:
At least a 220 volt socket should be located where you want to place the computer cabinet. Left-handers may want it to be on the left hand side!

Internet connection:
There should also be an Internet connection near the socket (LAN is better than WLAN) The more bandwidth, the better! Software installation and maintenance is done "remotely", so it must be ensured that you can access the simulator PC from the outside. In the case of a firewall, the corresponding port must be activated.

What to do if you do not have a suitable room in the house:

• Move to an economic or storage room (perhaps in your own company?)
• Move to a suitable attic
• Move to a suitable garage
• Rent a corresponding room in the immediate vicinity
